Light reflections in the winter twilight26.12.2016 — 08.01.201715:00 — 20:00

In the middle of winter, the Open-Air Museum turns into a fairy tale land with illuminated buildings and rooms. As you look inside the window, you can see how Latvians used to live and celebrate festivities in winter. Moreover, this is a wonderful opportunity to be photographed in the sledge and dress up for the Latvian winter solstice, Ķekatas. The Latvian Ethnographic Open-air Museum is one of the oldest open-air museums in Europe, with over 100 transported, placed and furnished buildings from historical regions of Latvia — Kurzeme, Vidzeme, Zemgale, and Latgale — dated back to the period between the end of the 17th century to the second half of 1930ies.
