THE MARTIN’S DAY 12.11.2017

“Mārtiņdiena” marks the end of autumn and the beginning of winter in Latvian calendar. At this time all farm works should be brought to an end. Each year on celebrating Martin’s day lots of people dressed up and wearing masks, singing and dancing to bring luck, prosperity and harmony to their lives. Mask making workshops and game playing with the folk bands. Traditional rooster roast at pub “Priedes krogs”.
