WEAVERS DAY IN VEVERI09.09.201710:00 — 16:00

Latvian weavers in Vidzeme highlands have long history. This is a place where the best linen and sheep wool could be found, and these two materials contributed to the economic boom in this field since the beginning of the 17th century. The crafts were exported to Scandinavian and other European markets. In Weavers day at the museum Vēveri you will see weavers at work, a small crafts exhibition and a crafts fair. On this day there will be different workshops, demonstration of regional culinary heritage, possibility to visit a mill on the highest point of Vēveri.
