Light show "Time of Souls"
Time of Souls in Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum
From October 25th to November 3rd, the Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum, in collaboration with the creative team of the "Winter Light Garden," invites you to a contemplative, slightly mystical, yet spiritually uplifting autumn light walking trail called “Time of Souls in the Open-Air Museum.” With more than twenty installations, sound, light, and projection stories, you will have the opportunity to glimpse into the mythical world of ancient Latvians and learn about the Time of Souls, how our ancestors honored the time of spirits, and what beliefs and traditions surrounded it.
The more than one-kilometer-long walk through the unusually illuminated Open-Air Museum exhibition will be available for only 10 evenings. The stories along the light walking trail have been created by folklore experts from the Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum. The light installations are designed by the experienced team from the "Winter Light Garden," with participation from Latvian lighting designers and video content creators. The atmosphere along the trail will be enhanced by specially recorded folk songs, and a café will be open.
Entrance from 6pm, last entrance 9pm.
Tickets you can simply get at the entrance to the museum.
